We used to call it "Goth" style but... time has passed and there's so much more than just "Goth" style. We have expanded to call it "Dark" which encompasses all alternative fashion styles - from corpse-paint to clown-core and everything in between.
Let's explore a few examples of styles in the "Dark Scene" that many darklings have created or expierimented with!
Traditional Goth. Frills & Fangs, Vampy Romantic style of Goth. Mostly black clothing, and favourites include: Ruffles, Velvet, Leather, accessorized with "deathly" makeup that diminishes "healthy glow" and replaces it with intentional pallor and striking designs and colours on the eyes and lips that are oftentimes bold blacks, blues, purples or crimsons.
Cyberpunk Goth
Are you a tech-fetishist? Do You like cybernetics, futurist/dystopia robotic industrial fantasies? Circuit boards? Do Light Emitting Diodes Excite you? Well maybe you're a cyber goth. Strap on your techwear and fire up your glow-in-the-dark, because this goth style includes as many straps, snaps, buckles and belts as you can handle, and ideally they're all attached or made to some sort of high-tech fabrics that reflect or react to energy sources. It's like goth from the future!
